My Blog Hi there, want to know a bit more about me? I have been an active community member in Carleton Place ever since my husband, Ernie Rowe, and I moved here from Nepean in 1995. We have four grown children (2 of whom live here in Carleton Place), 11 wonderful grandchildren (4 of whom are here)-number 12 is on the way! Our grandkids range in age from 20 to brand new and are always entertaining. We are quite fortunate that my Mom was able to move in with us 4 years ago and we feel really lucky to have such a multi-generational family so close at hand. On June 1st 2007 my husband, Ernie and I purchased the CP Cinemas and we have been having a ball owning the local movie theatre! April of this year we bought the Stone Church the movie theatre is in and have opened a Pool Rm and Arcade with space rented to "Local Heros" comic book store. My work as a real estate broker keeps me too busy for the hands on work but Ernie can usually be found there running a movie or teaching someone how to play pool. We've got a lot of exciting new things happening there so please come and check us out, I'm sure you'll love it! Ever since I was a little girl I have loved everything to do with houses; decorating (before real estate I was an interior designer/decorator); building; owning; renovating…you get the idea! I purchased my first home as a 19 year old newlywed and I still remember that feeling. I get the same feeling of excitement helping my clients buy and sell houses. I love the houses, working with people (many of my clients become friends), and especially negotiating deals and making things happen. To round out my family and work life, I have a strong commitment to community involvement. I am a former volunteer at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital (in the gift shop) and continue to support our hospital in many ways. I am the past president of the Carleton Place Rotary Club who's motto is “Service Above Self” and they do a great deal of work to benefit local charities and needy causes as well as support Rotary International’s work in third world countries. I have recently become involved in the Carleton Place Tourism Committee and look forward to the many great opportunities this organization is planning for our community.
